Andrea began her wine education at a young age living overseas with parents who had a more European view of wine consumption. She started working in the restaurant industry at 16, and continued working as a server and bartender in New England while attending university.
She moved out to Las Vegas to continue a career in hospitality, attending classes at UNLV to expand knowledge of the industry while working as a server for Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group.
She achieved the CMS Certified Sommelier while working as a server, and transitioned into her first position as a working sommelier at Caesars Palace, first as the floating sommelier to all restaurants, then full-time positions at Raos, Old Homestead Steakhouse, and Giada's.
She transitioned to MGM Grand in 2017 to open China Tang, the first outpost for Lai Sun Dining Group in the United States. After achieving the CMS Advanced Sommelier in 2018, she accepted the position of Lead Sommelier and Wine Curator for the Grand Award-winning Aureole at Mandalay Bay.
She is also a Certified Sake Professional, and completed the Winemaking Certificate Program from UC Davis. She is currently pursuing the Master Sommelier title.
